Children are fascinated by science fiction, so imagine the fun and excitement when they join the famous Captain Cosmic and bumbling Lt. Fumble on a genuine (well, almost genuine) trip to Mars. The mission? To gather "Smart Rocks" for the children on earth, of course! These Smart Rocks "help you learn very fast... and remember forever." They are almost foiled by the presence of villainous Professor Meanfellow who wants the rocks for himself. However, thanks to the audience, Cosmic overcomes his foe and the day is saved. The set may be as simple as you please. Children from the audience are put to work as the crew, count down for blast off and even take the role of friendly Martians in this interplanetary participation play with children.
